Acceptance

The labobriotech.com website is operated by Laboratoire Dentaire Briotech, 5114 Bourque Blvd., Sherbrooke, QC J1N 2K7. By using this website, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

Website content

The information published on this website (service descriptions, turnaround times, materials, scan submission guides) is provided for information purposes and may change without notice. It does not replace the clinical judgment of the health professional and does not constitute medical or dental advice.

The texts, images, logos and graphic elements of the website belong to Laboratoire Dentaire Briotech or are used with permission. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without our written consent is prohibited.

Online prescription

The online prescription is reserved for dentists and denturists licensed to practise in Quebec, and for their office staff acting under their responsibility. By sending a prescription, you accept the following terms.

Prescriber's responsibility

• The practitioner who signs the prescription is responsible for it, and certifies being authorized to prescribe the requested work and that the information provided is accurate and complete.
• The choice of treatment, material, shade and clinical specifications rests with the practitioner. The laboratory fabricates the work according to the prescription received.
• If a prescription is incomplete, unclear or inconsistent with the impression or scan received, the laboratory will contact the office before starting the work. The turnaround time may then be delayed.

Case receipt and turnaround times

• Submitting the form sends the prescription to the laboratory, but the case is only taken in charge once the impression, model or scan required for its fabrication is received.
• The delivery date shown is an estimate calculated in business days, excluding weekends and statutory holidays. It is not guaranteed and is confirmed when the case is received. It may vary depending on the complexity of the case, required try-ins, the quality of the impression or circumstances beyond our control.
• A rush request or a requested date is a request, not a commitment. The laboratory will confirm whether it can be met.
• Physical impressions and models are shipped to the laboratory by dental courier if the office has access to one, or otherwise by a standard courier service.

Files and signature

• You are responsible for the quality and legibility of the attached files (scans, photos, documents). Each file is limited to 200 MB, and the total to 500 MB per prescription.
• The signature made on screen has the same value as a handwritten signature on a paper work order. The generated PDF work order is the authoritative record of the prescription.

Patient information

Enter only the information needed to identify the case: we recommend using the patient's initials or file number. The practitioner is responsible for obtaining the patient's consent to the disclosure of this information to the laboratory, as with a paper prescription. The information is handled in accordance with our privacy policy.

Prices and billing

The online prescription does not display any prices. Prices, warranties and payment terms are those agreed upon between the laboratory and the office. For any question, contact us.

Acceptable use

You may not use the website to send false information or to send information on behalf of another practitioner, to transmit malicious files or to attempt to interfere with the operation of the website. We may refuse a prescription or block access in case of abuse.

Limitation of liability

We make every effort to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not guarantee that it will be error-free or available at all times. To the extent permitted by law, Laboratoire Dentaire Briotech is not liable for damages resulting from the use of the website, a service interruption or a prescription that was not properly transmitted. A confirmation email is sent for every prescription received; if in doubt, call us at (819) 573-2115.

The website contains links to other websites (client portal, Google Maps, App Store). We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Saint-François.

Changes

We may change these terms at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page when the website is used or the prescription is sent.
